HIPAA & Health Information Notice
Effective date: November 4, 2026
At Aquilupa Fidelis Intelligence Group and Veterans Benefits Mission, both doing business under Focus Lady 8 Management Solution, Inc., we understand that conversations about veterans' benefits, healthcare access, and medical claims can involve sensitive health information. Protecting that information is part of who we are. Our founder brings more than 36 years of healthcare experience, including VA administration, where safeguarding patient information is standard practice.
1. How HIPAA Applies to Our Work
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) applies to healthcare providers, health plans, healthcare clearinghouses ("covered entities"), and the companies that handle health information on their behalf ("business associates").
- When we work with healthcare organizations: if a covered entity needs us to access protected health information (PHI) to perform consulting, training, or AI audit services, we do so only under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and follow the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules that apply to business associates.
- When we work with individuals and families: we provide consulting and education, not medical care. Even where HIPAA does not legally apply, we voluntarily follow HIPAA-aligned practices for any health information you share with us.
2. Our Safeguards
- Health information is used only to provide the service you asked for — never sold, and never used for marketing
- Access is limited to the people who need it to serve you
- Password-protected accounts and encrypted website connections (HTTPS)
- We share only the minimum information necessary for the task
- Records are kept only as long as needed, then securely deleted
- If a breach involving your health information occurs, we will notify you as required by law
3. Please Protect Yourself Too
Regular email and website forms are not the right place for medical records. Please do not send medical records, diagnoses, Social Security numbers, or VA claim/file numbers through our website forms or standard email. If we need documents to help you, we will provide a secure way to share them.
When you email us about health-related matters, you acknowledge that standard email may not be fully secure, and you may ask us to use a secure method instead.
4. Your Rights
- Ask what health information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us to limit how we contact you
- Withdraw your consent to receive communications at any time
